Blues structure gave musicians a common vocabulary. Last weekend I got inspired to pick it up and finally learn how to play after watching an amazing Spanish guitarist on TV. At one point, Duke Ellington was moved publicly to deny that jazz was responsible for a rash of sex crimes [22]. In the early 1970s, The Texas rock-blues style emerged, which used guitars in both solo and rhythm roles. Although I would also listen to WWRL-1600 AM, WLIB-1190 AM, WRVR-FM 107.1 and even sometimes WBAI, WNJR outta Newark, occasionally WMCA-570 AM & WABC-770 AM, mostly after around 1971 or so I pretty much tuned in to WBLS-107.5 all of the time.

Bands made hard-edged songs that were short, political, anti-establishment with stripped down instrumentation. However most often, those accomplishments of "mah people" never ever come to light. In the 1960s and 1970s, a hybrid form called blues rock evolved. Rock out to the grooves and let the music fill your veins.
